Johnson O’Malley program aims for Native students to thrive
TAHLEQUAH – The Cherokee Nationís Johnson OíMalley program uses academic and cultural education to provide opportunities to Native students they might not otherwise have in a public school setting.
JOM is federally funded through the Johnson-OíMalley Act of 1934 to authorize contracts for the education of eligible Indian students enrolled in public schools, according to cherokee.org.
